Our Goals
United Youth and Youth Workers of Boston is connecting youth and youth workers across the city to:
- Strengthen our voice. As decisions get made that impact youth and youth workers, we are making sure that our voice is heard and that our experience and knowledge guide these decisions. (Read more here.)
- Build connections with each other. Youth workers have created local youth worker networks to provide professional and personal support for each other, and to work together for youth in their communities. (Read more here.)

Connecting Local Networks
We are creating a network of networks, offering support to local networks and helping build connections between them. This model, rooted in local communities, is based on a deep respect for the strengths and challenges unique to each community.
Some work happens most effectively in local communities, where people can form deep relationships, support each other's frontline work, and discuss and act on the issues that affect their communities.
At the same time, different communities can unite to address common issues or to support each other. In these cases, a citywide network helps strengthen local communities' voice, in a grassroots manner that stays true to community priorities.
